Happy Fourth of July & Happy First Week of July!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! This past week was filled with family, friends, and everything that makes summer in Michigan so special.

We kicked off the week with a quick trip up north to beautiful Lake Ogemaw, where we spent a couple of days cruising the water in our 1970s Sea Ray speedboat, affectionately known as “Tina.” We had actually been planning to sell her, but while grabbing ice cream on the lake, two gentlemen stopped to admire the boat. They told us that the classic V8 engine is becoming harder and harder to find in these older models and encouraged us to hang onto it. Safe to say, Tina earned herself a little more time with the family.

Friday night we made our way back home and were treated to one of our favorite traditions, watching fireworks light up the sky all along the drive home. It felt like every town was putting on a show just for us.

The Fourth of July itself was spent right here in North Branch. We enjoyed the parade and loved watching our nephew, Jake, ride through town on a tractor with his dad. The afternoon was filled with good company, time by the pond, and plenty of delicious barbecue with family and friends.

As busy as this season is in real estate, we’re always reminded how important it is to slow down and enjoy moments like these. Summer in Michigan has a way of bringing people together, whether it’s on the lake, around a bonfire, at a parade, or simply sharing a meal outdoors.

This truly is one of our favorite times of year. The warm weather, the beautiful scenery, and the strong sense of community make us incredibly grateful to call Michigan home. We hope you’re finding time to enjoy everything this season has to offer with the people you love.

From our family to yours, we hope you had a safe, fun, and memorable Fourth of July. Here’s to making the most of the rest of the summer!
